About
My love for makeup artistry was formed at the age of 12, during my first trip to the Chanel cosmetic counter. One lip-gloss and eye shadow later my fate was sealed; I just didn’t know it yet.
Years and numerous jobs later I decided it was time for me to do what I loved. I signed up for classes at Empire Academy of Makeup and from there I flew. I learned amazing techniques from my teachers and peers and studied the art of airbrushing. The classes really changed how I looked at makeup artistry. It’s so much more than applying blush to the cheeks. It’s color theory, skin care, contour and highlighting and using different brushes to help achieve each look. The classes really opened my eyes to what I could achieve so I decided to go for it!
Over the last ten years I have been lucky enough to be a significant part of a woman’s life…her wedding. I have worked with celebrities as well as on music videos, independent films, fashion shows and print ads that have helped me gain experience and also learn from other great artists. It is my philosophy to enhance my clients’ natural beauty through customized looks that make them feel confident, gorgeous and inspired.
So I am grateful to have found my passion and work in a field that for me is fulfilling in every way. Thank you to my mom and dad for their support, my kick-ass sister using her publicist genius to get me numerous jobs and being my biggest fan and my friends for always being there for me.
Hi, I found you through Clifton Photography and am considering taking a few classes at Empire, which ones would you recommend for a beginner in the professional makeup world? Thanks =)
